Volkswagen Taigun SUV - Group Landmark

Welcome to the year of the most-awaited SUVW – Volkswagen Taigun

2021 is indeed the year of SUVs. Numerous car manufacturers have come up with some great SUVs for the customers. The German carmaker Volkswagen group will be launching their India-made compact SUV in the second half of 2021. By made in India, we mean that the Taigun is designed and manufactured in India itself.

The Taigun is going to lead the mid-size SUV segment and going to be a brighter contender as it is developed on the indigenized version of Volkswagen Group’s globally renowned MQB (modular transverse matrix) platform, the MQB A0 IN. The mid-size SUV segment is a highly lucrative segment and also a trend of customer preference at the moment

Volkswagen Taigun – Exteriors

On the outside, it has a boxy design with rectangular design elements. The front fascia has a bold look with twin-pod LED Headlamps and DRLs. The grille gets three chrome slats with the new VW badge aligned in between. It looks kind of shiny with the chrome on the front grille. The flat bonnet will give good visibility and the front new bumpers are designed to give the SUV a sporty look. The sides are acquired by sharp creases and a boxy stance that makes it look apart from others.

The rear looks very modern with connected sharp LED tail lamps by a blacked-out glass bar that runs across the width of the SUVW. The wheelbase of 2671mm will not only be the longest in its segment but also will be the largest in the segment. The 17-inch alloy wheels add more power hood to this SUV, giving some exquisite road presence. The glossy black body cladding has been swapped from the concept.

Volkswagen Taigun – Interiors

The interiors will feature high-quality material in the cabin including dashboard layout and overall design. The dashboard will have a neutral grey shade and the new steering wheel will have 2D VW Logo that will make it more intrusive. The new Taigun will have a 10-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Taigun might also have a premium sound system with 6 speakers and subwoofers.

The driver can look at the small screen displays for details just like T-Roc. Other features will include dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, leather upholstery, cooled glove box, and many more. The cabin will be feature-rich along with plenty of comforts, convenience, and safety features. The safety features will include 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC, Hill Hold Assist, Front and Rear Parking Sensors with Camera, ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts, and much more. The ground clearance of 205mm will be perfect to go off-road for a weekend gateway trip.

Volkswagen Taigun – Performance

Under the hood, the new Volkswagen Taigun will have a 1.0 Litre TSI and 1.5 Litre TSI petrol engine that produces 110ps and 150ps of max power with 175Nm and 250Nm of peak torque respectively to excite the person behind the wheels. The Volkswagen 2021 Taigun will have transmission options as 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The viewers will have an option to choose between a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission option. The powerful engine with strong driving dynamics will make Taigun stand apart.
